On the surface, this is a picture of a picturesque Italian village on a cliff. But to me, it’s about contrast and balance.
I stood on the rocks at dawn, watching how these warm, brightly painted homes—yellows, oranges, and reds—clung to the cold, unforgiving stone. Below them lay the vast, dark blue ocean. The houses felt like an act of quiet defiance: human warmth and color choosing to exist right on the edge of the wild, untouched elements.
We often build our lives the same way—creating warmth, color, and meaning right on the steep, uncertain edges of reality. I stood there for a long time, absorbing that balance between fragility and resilience.
This photograph is meant to bring that energy into a space. Beyond the vibrant light of the Italian coast, it’s a quiet reminder of how much strength and beauty there is in choosing to stand out, even when surrounded by the vast and unknown.
